I'm looking for an inexpensive and off-the-shelf bell, chime, or light that can be added to a WiFi network (preferably using WPS), and remotely addressed/activated by an email message to send a simple signal "ding", chime, or light flash to the receiver. Hopefully, something that won't have firewall issues. Suggestions?

Thank you for the suggestion. I did a little research on the device, and it appears that there is no API or other documentation that would enable us to control it from our application or server. So it doesn't appear to meet our needs.
