Need to purchase one of these to repair a 12v led brake light. Dont know what it is, not enough bands to be a resistor?

Anyone help?

 

Get a Dvm and measure it!

It could be a resistor aswell as a diode.
As said, take a DVM and measure it both ways.

Thanks but unfortunately I don't have the old one anymore. So will be a case of trial and error, I could buy both diode and resistor, but cant figure out what the colour bands mean.
