Does anyone here know where I can find a guide on how to wind a smps transformer.

The ferrite core and bobbin is an E55, N87 from EPCOS (see attached).

Is the copper wire soldered to a pin on one side, winded around the bobbins horizontal beam with the required turns then soldered to a pin on the other side?

 

One of the finest handbooks on this subject was written by Lloyd Dixon who I think was at Unitrode when he wrote it. Not it and the surviving Unitrode documents at at Texas Instruments.
