Hello,

I have a part on pcb that to me looks like a 10ohm 5% resistor likely 3 Watt (thou unsure).
But it seems to be sitting in a holder and does not appear to have leads.

Is it a resistor and what type as I have never seen capped resistor before.

That is a SMT (Surface mount Technology) device.
You may be used to the wired/thro-hole type.
10Ω.
