im putting push button start with remote start in my 2004 jetta gli. the door locks are negative trigger but the pbs requires a positive input. i have wired into the door lock wires but cant get the pbs to do anything when attached. another problem i have run into is if i wire them to relays the locks freak out as soon as i connect power or ground(dependant on how i wire up the relays). im trying to figure out a way to have them monitor the door lock wires but not have them activate the door locks.

 

Would a PNP transistor on each circuit work. + to pbs on one P leg, - from door lock(or unlock) wire on N and +12v from car on Other P leg.

Also to clarify just in case. Lock and unlock are two seperate wires. Both negative pulse. But if i ground one or the other it locks or unlocks the doors. I need to be able to have the pbs see the lock/unlock signal but not activate it.
