Hi all,

So I am repairing an active speaker and there is this rotary on/off switch that I want to test/replace if necessary.
I suspect that it's faulty.

I just can't understand that data diagram. Which pins does it short when turned on?
It has 10 legs, 4 of them are connected to tracks on the PCB (two on each side).
I suspect that it's faulty and I want to replace with a simple toggle on/off.

What does 'stopper' (envelope sign, or 'C') mean?

Any help would be appreciated..

If you look at the switch from the shaft end [ knob fitting view] the switch rotation is defined.
The 'C' means the Common or switch wiper.

So which pins get shorted when I switch it on? I can't seem to understand this scheme

The way I read the switch diagram is:
Pins 1 and 10 are the wipers, so in position #1, pin2 is connected to C.
Look at this marked up diagram, there appears to be only two switch positions used.

Many thanks, will try to wire it like this and see if it works. I was wondering what is the function of these two capacitors?
If I connect it accordingly, it seems they are of no use, or am I wrong?
