Need help setting up way to test stepper motor

I have a MAE HY 200 2215 0220 AX04 stepper motor.

I am trying to figure out a way just to test it to make sure it works.

This has some useful information and simple test circuits. You would need a square wave from a 555 timer or other source.

I usually test the dc resistance of the coils then use my variable speed drill to run the stepper motor as a generator, observing the generated sine waves with an oscilloscope.
