Hi all! I've read about thermoelectricity recently and got interested on it. I learned that the Russians use this to power radios in the 1920s. Does any one knows or willing to share some simple thermoelectricity projects which i can start with? Thanks in advance.

I've seen a photo of one of those Russian radio power devices. It was a ring that sat on the shoulder of the globe on a kerosene lamp. It looks like several hundred, if not thousand thermocouple joints are present.

Modern designs use a hot isotope as a heat source, but the may use Perlier junctions as the voltage generator.

Omega Corp. sells thermocouple wire in bulk. You'll need a few hundred feet to make all the twisted junctions that will give you a couple of volts at any current. You will certainly get experience stripping wire.
