Would a 2N7002 be o.k to use in place of 2N7000 ? For both Q & Q2 ?
To find out the difference, you really need to look at the manufacturer's datasheet. They can differ from one manufacturer to another.

https://www.onsemi.com/download/data-sheet/pdf/nds7002a-d.pdf

ONSemi 2N7000 max power dissipation is 400 mW. Continuous drain current is 200 mA.
ONSemi 2N7002 max power dissipation is 200 mW. Continuous drain current is 115 mA.

Don't get fixated on the 2N7000. It is stated as obsolete by some manufacturers. I used it only because I have it on hand in TO-92 package. There are thousands of MOSFETs in SMD package that will do the job.

I have made some minor changes to the PCB design, mainly to make the solder pads larger.

Hello MrChips. Thanks for your reply. So I am going after a MOSFET that is small enough in package form to be SMD size and to fit the circuit board locations BUT I want it to be capable enough to handle the D.C motor demand when the motor is turning a propeller in the water. There is enough resistance in the water so a MOSFET that has a min. 1A capacity OR MORE would be secure to use. Any suggestions? Also can I ask you to go ahead with circuit board making for me? Let me know please. Thanks.
