I am trying to build my own Center Tapped transformer and I have do not have any past experience in building a Transformer. I have done my calculations and also cross verified on problem is Practical Implementation to building the Transformer. I want to build the transformer using EE ferrite core. The application is for High Frequency at about 70kHz. Please suggest any tutorials or video links any information which can be useful for building the Transformer Practically.

Usual rules apply turns ratio, I.E. the voltage you put in to the Voltage that comes out is the same as the turns ratio.

Vout/Vin = Ntsec/Ntpri
the size of wire (thickness) to use is determined by the size of core and Wattage you want.

 

For ease of winding and matching the two halves most are wound as two side by side coil sets at the same time then tied together end to end once the transformer is assembled.

Unless you are running a unusually high voltage and or high frequency on the coil set ( HF capacitive coupling effect issues) that tends to work rather well.

You may come across it as Bifilar Winding, to ensure matched windings.
