native device for what?

I've heard about native device that has Vt~0V. Could anyone tell me what's the usage of this device in the circuit?

What do you mean by Vt?
Is it the threshold voltage (cut-in voltage)?

A think that comes in my mind now is a back diode. Actually is a zener diode doped very heavily which has a zener voltage (cut-in or knee voltage) of zero.
