My dad passed away in 2020. I’ve been slowly going through his things. I remember him taking electronic classes while he was working for the Navy out of the Annapolis lab. I’ve come across several of his books and do not know if they are still of use or so antiquated that the best place for them is in a recycling bin. What would be your suggestions?
Titles are as listed:
ECG212J Sylvania ECG Semiconductors Master Replacement Guide
Digital Integrated Circuits D.A.T.A Book Vol. 27 Book 34, December 1982
Archer:
1978 Edition Semiconductor Reference & Application Handbook (Cat. No. 276-4002)
1980 Edition Semiconductor Replacement Guide (Cat. No. 276-4003)
1982 Edition Semiconductor Replacement Guide (Cat. No. 276-4005)
Datel: The proven source for innovation & excellence in precision data acquisition
Datel: Data Conversion Components
Datel Intersil: Instruments & Systems Handbook
Analog Devices: Data-Acquisition DataBook 1982: Modules-Subsystems
Analog Devices: Data-Acquisition DataBook 1982: Integrated Circuits
National Semiconductor Corporation: CMOS Databook
National Semiconductor Corporation: Interface Databook
National Semiconductor Corporation: Linear Databook
National Semiconductor Corporation: Logic Databook
National Semiconductor Corporation: Memory Databook

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to AAC!
My dad passed away in 2020.
My condolences on your loss.

I could use hardcopy of the National CMOS and Linear databooks for my work bench if they're the same vintage as the other books. If you're in the US, I'll pay for USPS media mail shipping.

A local community college or high school that teaches electronics or a public library might be interested in the rest.

Thank you. I am in the US, I reside in PA. My dad smoked a lot. I’ve been trying to get the smell out but unfortunately the pages are yellowing. You can have them, shipping is fine. I will get pictures of them in morning and post here.

I'm not interested if they smell like smoke. Been away from it long enough that it really bothers me now.
No problem, I kind of figured. My dad started smoking when he was 18 years. My dad smoked Marlboros. Never bothered me when I was younger. However, I swear, the ingredients changed. Started to bother my sinuses and eyes. Even touching or handling items that have been covered with smoke begins to bother me. No hard feelings. ;)

Same here. My mother smoked Marlboros and I worked in a restaurant when smoking was unrestricted. I once had to ask a colleague to switch places with me at a training class. The guy I was sitting next to reeked of cigarette smoke. It was so bad that it was making my eyes water.

You are correct: research "FSC".

Edit: BTW, I had the same library as your dad, almost to the book.

I had donated all of my reference books to the local technical institute, but that was many years ago. Ebay should have a few interested parties.
