Hi,

If i have a source line with AC current, and an inductor wrapped around it:

--> if i were to catch the i(t) of the line on the inductor, would my inductor affect in turn the signal of my line?

--> if so, what properties of the inductor have an influence on this phenomena (no of turns, inductor material, wire radius etc)

I need a quick reply,

thank you

Hi,

Your AC line will have a moving magnetic field. Therefore, it will induce current in you surrounding inductor. The supply line's field does work inducing the current. Your text should supply the material for your answers.
