A series ac circuit contains the following components: a resistor of R = 140 , an inductor of L = 250 mH, a capacitor of C = 2.00 µF, and a source with ΔVmax = 210 V operating at 50.0 Hz. Calculate the following quantities:

(a) the inductive reactance

Answer : 78.5 ohm
(b) the capacitive reactance

answer: 1.59 Kohm

(c) the impedance

answer: 1.52 kOhm

(d) the maximum current

Answer: 0.138 amp

(e) the phase angle between current and excition voltage

answer: 84.3 degree

I already got the answers for each of this but i have to verify it via simulation !!!

And i didnt learn much about Multisim Software.
So does anybody have idea how do you prove it.

Reactance is a signed quantity.

Impedance is a vector quantity.

What is meant by ΔVmax? It sounds like it is the peak-to-peak voltage. If so, then you need to divide by two when looking for the peak current.

So set it up in Multisim and measure the quantities you need. Surely you have some kind of tutotial or something -- if not there are lot's on line and probably some in the Help files in Multisim itself.

You should at least be able to set up the simulation and measure the voltages and currents that are of interest. Get that first and then worry about measuring impedance angles and such.
