the condition is

Switch 1 = on
Switch 2 = off
the display counts down from 0-9

however when
Switch 1 = off
Switch 2 = on
the display counts down from 9-0

and when both switches are on or off
there is no display

any delay for each digit will do as long as it can be seen...

any help with the program and the circuit? i would forever be grateful, tnx!

 

This is not what is meant by multiplexing.

What you are asking is for someone to write a program that will count up or down depending on the action of two switches.

This is a simple programming task which you can do yourself. The purpose of this forum is to help people help themselves.
