In intend to connect my microcontroller SAMD21J18A to a GSM module (Quectel BG95-M3) using USB, for its normal operation e.g. AT commands. I require this i will be TX large amount files from SD card and need faster data rate compared to UART.
I also need to connect GSM module to the PC's USB if I need to update the firmware. For this I can force my microcontroller to REST so its USB connections are all floating.
In the future I might want to also connect the GSM module whiles my microprocessor is in communication to my PC for debugging purpose.
As USB is impedance controlled, how do I set this up so it is correctly done without any issues?
