I know that my mouse left button is starting to misbehave (again). This results in multiple posts of the same post, sometimes 2, 3, or 4 replicas, when I click on Post Reply.

What is interesting is that when you permanently delete the last errant post, all posts but one is deleted.
I see that multiple posts are also occurring for other members, including Sensacell today.

Can the fora software be programmed to prevent this from happening?

 

I had a setting enabled allowing moderators to bypass the 'flood' rule (30s minimum between posts). I have disabled that setting for now -- If other moderators find it a hinderance, I will need to re-enable.

It worked. It gave me an alert to try again after 30 seconds.

 

Sometimes my cellphone posts same types of multiple posts because of fluctuations on data network.

 

I like it. The setting has caught what would have been several multiple posts via my phone. Can the timer be re-enabled for the Reported Items section of the site?
