Multiple Balancers overlapping for Lithium batteries

I have some 5S batteries and I'm looking at options for balancing. I can't find any 5S balance boards that fit within my physical parameters, but I might be able to make two 3S balance boards fit. In theory that should work just fine, right? They will overlap the middle cell and so balance the others in each respective set is what I'm thinking.
