Nice! ... my parents took us (me and my other five siblings) to Disneyworld back in 1976 (I was eleven), and we did ride on that "extinct" attraction.

 

 

Wow. That was a blast from the past.

I find it funny how the monitors in the control room show live video of Hercules changing attitude, as if the camera was itself an independent satellite hanging out around Hercules. Details, details!

Sadly, most of the actors are dead now.

We have monitor satellites for our important space systems. Space Based Space Surveillance (SBSS)

Cameras and sensors are mounted on gimbals, with thrusters (ion or chemical) for limited orbital changes.

He's grown up a bit since the 80s.

 

Every actor in this film worked together to tell a story, superb actors, top of their game, it was a team effort and a very good story and one of my favorite movies.

I smiled when Poitier reacted and defended himself, boy did I smile.
