Knowing that sometimes the obvious answer is incorrect comes from experience. Because sometimes the "obvious" answer is not the correct one, even though it might be. When verification is so cheap and easy, and the background of a situation is unknown, why not verify?

A simple measurement from Black to Blue should confirm it by reading the sum of the windings, i.e. each in series.

You tend to muddy the waters a tad, talk of having to access all four winding ends etc. ??
When the DWG was obvious. and a simple reading clear it up. o_O
