Should such lamp be activated by television images on screen within its detection range ? What is your opinion ?

No. Should detect shifts in heat such as a body moving across its field of detection, or a car with a warm engine.

You'll find that outdoor motion detectors work better when they're cold, as the difference in heat sources is far more visible to the detector. Do you have a TV in the closet? Or on the stairs? My cats set off my motion detector light switch and light the hallway every time they pass through. Fortunately this is down stairs, away from my bedroom. Would not recommend putting motion switch in hallway without obscuring the bottom of the lens to prevent it from seeing the cats (or dogs if you have).
