Most common technology used in analog IC design

I am in a masters program in IC design and we are exclusively learning CMOS design. I realize that cmos is almost always used in digital design, but what about analog? Is CMOS still used the most or are JFET and BJT technologies more commonly used? If so, how simple a transition is it to go from enhancement CMOS analog design to JFET or BJT analog design?

Thanks

The most notable thing about other processes is the need to isolate nodes from the substrate.

EDIT: The primary disadvantage of this fact is that scaling feature size becomes incredibly difficult.
