Hi Max,
Web clip.

The Pololu 36V8 Stepper Motor Driver uses
N-channel MOSFETs in a discrete dual H-bridge arrangement controlled by a Texas Instruments DRV8711 IC. The specific model numbers of the MOSFETs used are FDMC8858 (N-channel) and FDM8854 (N-channel) manufactured by ON Semiconductor (formerly Fairchild).

The board has eight N-channel MOSFETs in total (four for each motor phase), with four on the top side (marked 8858) and four on the bottom side (marked 8854). These are power MOSFETs designed for high efficiency and high-current applications, enabling the board to deliver up to 8 A continuous per phase without a heat sink.

It is a little low on the power-current values.
BTW, Digikey shipping has gone from a flat rate CAN$8.00 to US$20.00, since tariffs were introduced!
Makes it a little hard for small orders, too bad, they used to be my first go-to! :(
I am looking at NTD20N03L27T4G .
