Hello,
I need to measure the power consumption of a device which is powered though am OBD port. I cannot dismantle the device so I need to monitor it's power consumption through outside means. Ideally, I could monitor the power usages at all time and record the measurements but the main objective is to be able to monitor the power usage in real time.
Anyway, I was thinking that the best way to do so is to buy an OBD extension cable, cut it and plug the correct cables into a multimeter. Would this work or is there an easier and better way of doing so.
Thank you for your time.
