I'm about to send a prototype PCB to JLCPCB where I added a MAX17049 i2c battery monitor for a 2-cell battery. It's i2c and guesses the battery SOC based on the voltage. I don't need very accurate readings so this should be good enough for my use case.
Now I noticed that MAX17049 is no longer available through JLCPCB. They even state that it's discontinued while the device is actually still active in production.
I'm wondering if there are any alternatives I can use? I've been looking online but I was unable to find a comparable i2c chip?
