I have an old Hammond organ tonewheel generator, nothing else. Well, I do have also an 64 channel MIDI decoder for the purpose of implementing it into the organ. I thought of using CD4066 CMOS bilateral switches instead of mechanical key-switches and controlling them with the MIDI decoder. I would need at least two 4066 chips per key for a total of 128 pc. Is that doable and what difficulties am I facing. The tonewheel generator is good working order.
I am not a keyboard player but could manage to use a sequencer to play the organ.
