Hi all,

At my workplace we need a meter for measuring the resistance of sensitive PCB tracks and relay contacts.
Is the TTi BS407 Precision Micro Ohmmeter a good meter such an application?
If no, can anyone please suggest a meter which is ideal for such applications.

Thanks in advance.

I think what you need to do is take a look at the actual resistances you expect to be measuriing. With that in mind start looking for a DLRO (Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter) with specifications that meet your demands including features like a computer interface? To accurately measure low resistance you will be doing 4-wire measurements. Since you are doing board measurements maybe you want a fixture to hold the board? So in addition to accuracy or uncertainty you want to look at features and make a decision as to which meter serves your needs best. Both meters you mentioned seem to be good units but I have never used either. You want a manufacturer with a good reputation in addition to a feature packed product. Then you need to consider budget in that cheaper may not offer what you want.

Just My Take....
