I am studying about Quartz crystal, some papers showed that Quartz crystal has both series and parallel resonant frequency. Based on the RLC electrical circuit model, the formulas of those resonant frequencies are clear.
However, I am just confusing about measuring method of those frequency in an electronic circuit. For example, how can we know Quartz crystal is operating in either series or parallel resonant frequency in a certain circuit?
Or, how can I configure an oscillating circuit in order to measure the series resonant frequency of quartz? and how can I configure an oscillating circuit in order to measure the parallel resonant frequency of quartz?
