I need to measure the volume of air flown thru a pipe within a given time (10 - 20 seconds).
How can this be achieved accurately? What kind of sensor should be used?

I had already done that. I found different sensors like dual thermistor based, dual resistor based, dual (metallic body) transistor based, heated diode based, incandescent filament based or free-fan RPM based. But I could not understand how to use them with µC or Arduino. I could not find a working example.

 

Look at a few of the Honeywell models. They make amplified sensors with digital interfaces.
