Is that for an SMPS or one of the mains transformer types? It's an easy fix if it's the latter, Where any small 9v secondary version of the similar physical size would do the trick.
What is the problem with the one shown, BTW?

Thanks for the reply, I think it's the SMPS, it was mounted on the board as pictured.
It is burnt out no continuity on windings and smells really bad

I would tend to jury-rig a linear supply to replace it, mount the transformer off board, if needed.
Do a little reverse-engineering of the 12vdc side and intercept it.
Usually a 9v AC secondary will work for it and equal ~12V DC after smoothing.

Sorry for being naive but think I grasp what you mean

Supply a new transformer direct from the supply 230 AC (not from the board) then supply the low voltage part of the board from the secondary side of the new transformer?

Yes there was one version of the board that did this very thing.
It may be hard to match the printed circuit mount when looking for an exact replacement.
May also require a rectifier and electrolytic cap.

Could I use a regulated transformer secondary 12 v DC

What is a regulated transformer secondary exactly?
A linear power supply?
Trace out the previous output of the 12vdc also.
linear transformer with rectification and regulation to provide stable DC output so I wouldn't need a rectifier or cap, I could hook it straight into LV on the board

Try globalsources, search for EE2214, but use caution as there are many different types and designs, pin numbers and spacing. I would investigate further why the transformer may have failed (although transformers fail on their own, switching transistors may be shorted etc)

Hi thank you for you reply, they do indeed supply the transformers ( I looked hard and couldn't find that model anywhere ) however I had a 12v transformer handy and am knees deep in hooking it up. I have it powering the low voltage side of the the board ATM and all looks ok, I'm going to try and install back on the treadmill tomorrow. Watch this space :))

I'll do some digging and run it by you to see what you think

Update! I installed the board on the treadmill, it powered up the console which it wasn't doing before, the incline works but when commanded to run the console acts as if it's working, counting speed distance etc but the belt isn't moving so progress but not there yet
