Matrix switch for AC ?

Hi.
Would like to make a 6 column X 3 row matrix switch, with push-on / push-off switches for the crossings.

When used for DC, diodes prevent 'ghost routing'
If used with unbalanced audio or common neutral AC, diodes would rectify the signal.

Is there a solution to use a matrix switch for routing AC ?

Thanks. I could, if that ensures no 'ghost routing' I do not see how the IC would be immune.
Prefer simple mechanical switches.
