Hi Gang,
A question regarding a Canadian Tire MotoMaster 3000W Power Outlet and Inverter.
The inverter has 3 AC receptacles with a separate circuit breaker for each.
We want to install it in a pleasure boat to supply 120vac. The boat has been wired with 120vac receptacles through out.
My question can we gang up two or more of the receptacles to supply power to the ships switchable Shore/Inverter
switch?
thanks for any replies
cheers
Hank

Look inside the housing cover. The outlets may all be joined in a series fed from a single source. If so, then you can join cables together as you described.
I doubt there are multiple circuits feeding the outlets separately. The reason for the multiple sockets is the power limit on the 120 volt style outlets of 1600 or 1800 watts max. Not supposed to pull all 3000W of power out of one plug socket.

Pesky tamper proof screws have nothing on a left hand drill bit!
The inverter works fine with two plugs ganged together.
now to sort out the rest of the wires 12vdc and 120vac
cheers
