I have two metal blocks (not cube but some irregular shape) in the vicinity. I would like to visualise the magnetic lines between them and calculate the inductance. I suppose, calculation is very complicated because of geometry. Has anybody used any simulation tool where we can create shapes in 3D, add material properties such as conductance, permeability and visualise (and measure) the magnetic lines?
It would be better if I can import the object in any of the standard 3D file format (viz. step) since creating complex object with complex shape may not be easy with such simulation tool but for CAD tools.
I Googled it and got few one but not clear if they can really serve the purpose of mine.
