LTspice plotting stepped data

I have been plotting stepped data and I want to know if there is a way to control the colors chosen for a given step, and if there is a legend that I could have to show color red is step x, color green is step y, ect.

if find the plots difficult to read and I hate the blue traces on black background. I am too old to see that.

Click on the plot window and then the Tools/Color Preferences command.
You can then change the plot colors for each trace to anything you want.

Don't know of anyway to plot a color legend automatically though, but you can add notations manually.
