Low frequency 24V Square Wave Oscillator?

Hi there,

I would like to build a 24V square wave oscialltor that operates at a frequency around 500Hz and has a very low power consumption. I built an op-amp oscialltor like the one on this page:
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/electronic/square.html

I tried using both a LM741 and a LM393. The circuit works but the current consumption at 24V is roughly 1mA. I was wondering if there were any alternative configurations that would prehaps consume a much lower current (uA range if possible)? It has to be a square wave oscialltor.

I appreciate any advice anyone may have!

Thanks in advance!

Rachel
