Hello all,
I'm working on a project that's replacing a pogo-style spring contact for something with significantly lower profile while maintaining the stoke. I've been scouring catalogues and wore Google out without any success. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any unconventional ideas I may not have considered.
The specs for the part I'm looking to replace are as follows:
fits within a 1.45 mm x 5 mm footprint on a pcb
1 mm vertical stroke.
.5mm or less contact patch
Low profile as possible (under 3mm)
has some sheer resistance.
The closest I've found is an ALPS spring-connector but I'm concerned that it won't handle the sheer load of lens contacts sliding over it and the stroke isn't great.

Thank you for your thoughts!
Ian
