Hello, I am new to these forums and looking for a component for my most recent project but am failing to find it. Any help is appreciated!
What I am looking for is an affordable component that once a certain amount of weight is placed on it then RELEASED, it will send a signal to a machine that will carry out its job then wait until the component tells it to go again (Due to weight being added then released again).

 

How precisely do you need the trigger to be with respect to the weight? I mean you can probably rig some mechanical “button pusher” but it wouldn’t be easy to discriminate small weight differences. You might need a scale. The electronics of this are the easy part, believe it or not. Oh, and you’ll need to specify what signal the second machine requires.

 

If the process requires to see a certain amount of weight and the release of such, it almost smacks of something in the area of a load cell and a small microprocessor.
