I thought this was going to be a quick go to ebay and buy 100X 78XX 3.3V Regulator, but not as easy as I thought. Am I somehow not searching for them correctly? Basically just a 3.3V Regulator similar to the LM7805 5V regulators I use all the time. I did an Ebay search for 3.3V regulators and came up with this, which includes some TO-220 devices.

 

You could try an LF33CV. Here is a link to the data sheet on the LFxx family of regulators.

I have used a TC1262 (3.3V) in a couple of projects without regret.

 

I have found a few options, but I guess I was hoping to find a bulk amount (100 would be good) like you can with an LM7805 for ~$10 shipped. Oh, you can get a 3.3V TO-220 advertised for that price, or less, - how about these "LM2576HVT-3.3" - no idea about how good they are

Edited to Add: Actually this advert is for a TO220 version of a 1117 at either .27/piece or .027/piece depending upon how you interpret the advert.
