I would like to find a "off the shelf" circuit which can charge a 2 cell lithium ion back from a 5V source at a rate of 2.5A-5A. I also need to be able to monitor the state of charge via I2C (a fuel gauge) or just a low voltage switch (i.e a single signal that I can read on a GPIO pin). So far i have found two IC which can do the job, charging: TI BQ24618 or BQ24133, Monitoring: TI BQ40Z50 with a reference manual of 241 pages... I just want to know if the unit have to be charged, if its charging and if its done charging.
I could design my own circuit but time is short so if i could find one module or different once that i could put together would be great.
