Hi All,

I am finishing my BSEE with Power Emphasis in May18 and there is an opportunity in my current company as LSS Engineer, since I had been in my company for 20 yr as a Technician, this would be a career change for me. For this position they are looking or an Computer Eng or Electrical specifically, My question to you guys is, What is the career path or growth of an LSS Engineer after a few years. Of course initially my learning curve will be huge, but I am trying to see what can I growth into

It sounds boring and bureaucratic to me....but to each, their own.

 

Then again.....there might be an opening in a bridge company, in Miami.

 

I was thinking more in terms of being a foot in the door in the facilities side of my company to have an option to move the Power Side. But also did not wanted to jump into something that I wasn't going to like it.

 

For this position they are looking or an Computer Eng or Electrical specifically,

Two entire different disciplines, sounds to me like they either:

a) Don't have a clue what they're doing.

or

b) Already have someone in mind internally for the position, who happens to have both of those requirements.
In fact the more specific a job requirement is, the more likely they already have the position filled internally and they're just "going through the motions" to make the recruitment process seam fair.

c) Both.
