well, that is true

But remember, you are also getting a current source out of it up the the ID of the mosfet

 

I have never been a fan of multipurpose tools. Regardless of how broke I was, I was never tempted to buy one. I went used instead and never regretted it..



Like I said, if you need a current source that is also a logic interface, then you have one.

Had it, still in the protoboard, in front of me for almost four years! Bulky as it is, including an LDO 3V3 regulator, worked well.
