Led didn't glow using wireless transmission

Hi! I tried to make a wireless transmission by the principle of mutual induction using dc current.2n2222a transistor,20kohm resistor,led,2winding coils,9v dc battery (hw).when I connect and adjust the secondary coil...led didn't glow..can u say what's the reason?
