You need to be more clear about the pattern built into the light devices and the pattern of the external control circuit or device. What I think you want it for the external cir uit to b e a simple alternating power switch; so many seconds powering one light, then the same number of seconds powering the other light, while the quick flash pattern is generated by eachlight's internal citcuits.

yes / no

Yes that is correct. The flash pattern is regulated by the lights internal circuits.

hi Fendt,
Checking for New Zealand vehicle 'flashing' lights, I see that State approval is required to use flashing lights, can you confirm that you have the required approval.

Moderation.

Hi ericgibbs,

Where did you read that?? Our laws here are much different from the USA. Anyway this is for off road applications on job sites.

hi F,
This is the source.
As you are 'off roading' it may not apply.

Clip:
As well as outlining the use of red, blue, green and white beacons, the rules say that an amber beacon may be fitted to a vehicle in accordance with a traffic management plan approved by a road-controlling authority.

It also allows for the use of an amber beacon when the vehicle is going to be stopped or driven slowly and where other road users need to be aware of this.

In all of these cases, the beacon must be approved.'

Yea these are going into vehicles which go onto sites that flashing amber lights is a health and safety issue. If you don't have them you get booted off the site regardless of what the law states. I'm presuming you are in USA? If so is it a big issue to put lights on vehicles without approval?

Hi F,
I am based in UK, our road laws are also fairly strict regarding private vehicle flashing lights, I am not familiar with USA rules.?
Some of our On Site rules are very strict for H&S.

Anyway, Good Luck with the project.
