Hi All - been looking at the specs for the new Lattice Avant platform as I liked the MachXO product for the few low-end designs that I've done. However, it doesn't really seem that Avant has that many differentiating factors against Xilinx and Altera, especially the Agilex 5 which seems like a nice family.

Has anyone that designs at the mid-end made the switch over? Why/Why not?

The machXO is a very old chip.
I think I was using it back on around 2003,
Of I remember, it's an sram based fpga with a flash in the same package.
IMHO, it's the design tools that you will spend most of your time in that matter.
Xilinx/amd and Altera/ Intel have the most traction ,
It depends what you want to do,
If it's for home usage , just use what you like.,
