Hi,

I have a Gateway laptop (NV56R14u)https://www.cnet.com/products/gatew...3-2328m-windows-8-64-bit-4-gb-ram-500-gb-hdd/

The problem I'm facing is, that it wont get power from the battery. It's a new battery which when I first installed it, everything worked fine.
However, after some time the laptop just wouldn't power on from the battery, even though the battery is fully charged. Laptop powers up OK when connected to the power adaptor.

Would really like some guidance on this, pls.

Some of these 'batteries' as you call them (power packs) are intelligent...and communicate with the laptop. Suggest you put a scope on the power line to figure out what's going on.

there was a similar issue with one ?hp? laptop years ago (the battery was !perhaps! toshiba)
/// the fix at the time was cut open the battery case physically and "reset" the battery . . . if i remember right it was unplug/plug the controller board from some 3-wire connector ??? - and it charged like magic again

just maybe
