I am using a L298N motor driver (https://wiki.dfrobot.com/MD1.3_2A_Dual_Motor_Controller_SKU_DRI0002) to drive 32 murata ma40s4s transducers from each output (https://www.murata.com/-/media/webrenewal/products/sensor/ultrasonic/open/datasheet_maopn.ashx). I am experiencing a 3.3V drop at each output of the L298N. The input is 10V @ 1A. Is there any reason for the large voltage drop at the outputs of the L298N, I cant find any info online.
It's in the spec sheet of the device, under Vcesat (Total Drop). A minimum of 1.8V at 1A, could be 3.2V worst case, depending on the particular device. Even more at higher output currents (4.9V at 2A).

The L298 uses Darlington junction transistor drivers which have a relatively large voltage drop.
For a much smaller drop, you can use power MOSFETs or MOSFET bridge drivers.

There are far more simple ways to achieve this .........
Try this Circuit .......
