This is my first attempt at assembling a PCB so I hope I did everything correct.

I have a unit I just assembled and as far as I can tell everything is correct. I have powered it with 12VDC but it does not seem to power on. No lights come on when powered up (not sure if this is normal or not) but when I press LEARN and the corresponding button on the remote nothing seems to happen.

In pic 2 the only thing I noticed as a potential issue is that I ONLY soldered from the back of the board and not the front. Is this something that I should do? Is this why I cannot get it to connect?

Also in pic 3 I decided to solder the resistors in this location on the back due to not fitting easily under the 2 chips on the front. I figured it should be OK.

I have done some testing and it seems like the LEARN button is not working, I used a multimeter to test for s circuit when I press the button and I have nothing at all.

Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

I have solved the problem with this unit, the LEARN button is not working, I just shorted pin 7 on RF unit to ground to activate LEARN function and the unit is working just fine now.
