Seriously, I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with some friends in Wimberly just a couple of weeks ago - sittin' listening to some good live music and grazing at I'noz. Incredibly sad to see the damage. The house that was washed away with the family in it was built on some serious reinforced concrete pilings, sunk deep, but there was enough river flow to snap them like matchsticks. The house floated down the river and one occupant called her sister to tell the family that she loved them - then the house hit a bridge and disintegrated.



My daughter lives next to one of the Houston 'bayous' (huge concrete drainage ditch). So far so good but water lapping at the edges. She is a doctor and drives the slop to Children's for her 30+hour shifts. Worried.
