ISM330dlc accelerometer

Dear All.

We are working on vibration analysis with St micro accelerometer ISM330dlc (datasheet attached for reference) which is 3 axis , bandwidth is 3300 Hz.

My understanding :- As per bandwidth I assume i can receive 3300 samples /sec. It means X values - 1100 samples / 1 sec, Y values - 1100 samples /1 sec and Z values accordingly.

Correct me if I am wrong.

My doubt is " for example if i dont want to use 3 axis in ISM330dlc , only I want to use X- axis , So that Can I get 3300 X- axis samples /Sec ?

there is always a confusion whether the x kHz stands for 2x ksps or 1x ksps . . . "D[15:0] expressed in two’s complement and its value depends on the interface used" so if Max. Clock = 400kHz output rate 200kbps = 12.5kwordps ?? "If XL_HM_MODE is set to '0', high-performance mode is valid for all ODRs(from 12.5 Hz up to 6.66 kHz)." (12.5 = 2x ksps) ≈ (6.3 kHz ≈ 1x kHz)

? what 3300Hz ? unless it outputs Gyro and Accm (6.3 - start stop bits) / 2 ≈ 3k3sps ← only if single register pair values can be selected for OUTP ???

• 5 Functionality • 5.1 Operating modes • In the ISM330DLC, the accelerometer and the gyroscope can be turned on/off independently of each other andare allowed to have different ODRs and power modes.The ISM330DLC has three operating modes available:
  • only accelerometer active and gyroscope in power-down
  • only gyroscope active and accelerometer in power-down
  • both accelerometer and gyroscope sensors active with independent ODR
. . . but i don't yet see the individual axis can be masked for output only
??? thus → 3.3sps / 3axis = 1ksps full data output rate ???
