Hello all, I am hoping someone can guide me here. I have searched high and low to see if this exist even though I have heard about it. I am looking for a meter that will measure current based off magnetic field strength. I am playing with high voltage/ resonant coils/ Tesla type systems. I have read these meters typical are Hall effect sensors that measure in gauss and convert to amperage readings, similar to an electrostatic meter used for voltage. But I can not find anything available as a meter for this on google, eBay, or amazon. Can someone please help guide me? Thank you

 

Are you wanting a sensor you can interface with a microcontroller, a panel meter, or a handheld meter?

If it's handheld, the phrase "DC amp clamp" should get you plenty of hits. Here's one example:

That takes care of the DC part. I'm still not sure about high frequency AC.
